Case Studies: Audio / Visual: Religious Institute
This Jewish institute attracts more than 200,000 people each year to its public programming, exhibitions, collections, research facilities and degree programs. The center was constructing a new building for more worship, educational and cultural space and needed guidance throughout the construction phase on its audio and visual options.
The completed building reached nine floors, covering 11,850 square feet per floor. In the temple, Advent Systems implemented sound reinforcement throughout the space, putting in larger scale speakers designed for impact, sound quality and wide dynamic range. In the auditorium, the team installed a video screen, video mixing equipment and large projector. In addition, a touch panel was installed that controls the lighting and preprogrammed sound modes. Meanwhile, a plasma screen with computer interface equipment to connect with laptop computers were placed in all of the classrooms.
Advent helped the institute spend its money wisely, recommending more equipment in some spaces and less in others. Presented at the opening gala for the new building, the audio/visual system has been operational and functions within the client's needs.
