Case Studies: Paging / Sound Masking: Jewelry Company

Offering costume jewelry to the stars has made this wildly popular company experience growth in sales by leaps and bounds. The client had a small distribution center but realized it needed a state-of-the-art packing line to keep up with demand. Choosing technology that was being applied for the first time in the region, the client had no room for error and turned to Advent Systems to manage the massive networking project.

Because the team was working with new technology, we projected worst-case scenarios to manage any potential complications brought on by the high-tech packing line equipment. We also engineered a plan that incorporated CAT 6 and fiber cabling to numerous intermediate distribution frame (IDF) cabinets that would allow the client to expand its systems down the road. Managing constant design specification changes during installation and the first few weeks of operations, our team created a system that performed from the get go.

Within six months of launching the new system, the in-demand jewelry company was beyond its assembly line capacity, running all three shifts each day. Our planning allowed the client to nearly double the size of its order-fulfillment capacity over the next six months. The client, impressed by our preparation, project management and performance, still utilizes our network cabling team as its operations continue to grow.
